The 1200d Pro is your answer to competing with direct Florida sun on exterior setups. At 3 meters with the standard reflector it outputs over 62,000 lux — enough to use as a hard source key in full daylight or push through a 20×20 overhead with usable fill. Pair it with the F10 Fresnel for a dramatic hard source that cuts through ambient. Sidus Link wireless control from your phone means you can fine-tune exposure from behind the camera without touching the fixture.

Gaffer

The 1200d Pro runs on standard AC mains through the included 25ft cable — no special distro required, but you'll want a dedicated 20A circuit minimum. On location, the Honda EU7000is generator handles it comfortably alongside the rest of the package (1200W head leaves ~4,300W of headroom on the generator). IP54 rating means you can work through Florida's afternoon pop-ups without scrambling to protect the fixture. Always sandbag the stand heavily — this head is 9.2kg and catches wind.

Key Grip / Beginner

The 1200d Pro ships with a separate ballast box that stays on the ground — only the head goes up on the stand. The head is heavy; you'll want a sturdy senior stand (high roller or 40" C-stand at minimum) and a minimum of three sandbags on the base. Run the cable away from foot traffic and secure it. The Bowens S mount accepts any standard Bowens modifier — we include the standard reflector and the 3-piece Narrow/Medium/Wide reflector kit. Attach your modifier before you raise the stand.
